Dreamland Launched


Dreamland the new Doctor Who animated adventure written by Phil Ford, was yesterday released and it is now available to view in high definition on BBC One's red button service and here on the BBC's official Doctor Who website. Part Two was released today at 4pm and the third will be released tomorrow at the same time. There are six parts of Dreamland in total and after they have been released individulally they will all be shown together in one transmission on BBC Two on the fifth of December at 10am.

The synopsis's for both Part One and Two can be read below.

Part One
Dry Springs, Nevada, 1958. The Doctor befriends a young waitress, Cassie, and her friend, Jimmy, at a diner. The Doctor activates an alien artefact and, after finding further signs of alien activity, the US Army intervenes and takes him and his new companions to the mysterious Area 51, where they find out about Operation Fallen Angel. Will Operation leader Colonel Stark succeed in making the curious trio forget what they have just seen?


Part Two
Seeking refuge in the abandoned town of Solitude, Jimmy Stalkingwolf stumbles across a disconcerting discovery and encounters Viperox royalty alongside The Doctor and Cassie Rice.
 
I have watched both parts and have so far have throughly enjoyed the storyline.

Classic Doctor Who on MSN Video

That's right, soon all the episodes of Classic Doctor Who will be able to be watched on MSN Videon. There will be a new episode every Tuesday and Friday on the player from the 10th of November.

This has happened due to an agreement between MSN and BBC Worldwide.

The Gift Synopsis Revealed


The Gift, the sixth and final episodes of the Third Series of Sarah Jane Adventures, has now has their synopsis's released by the BBC. You can read them below,

The Gift Part One



Sarah Jane, Luke, Clyde and Rani face an old enemy, the green Slitheen, in the penultimate episode of this series of The Sarah Jane Adventures. When the Slitheen's latest scheme is halted, their rivals, the Blathereen, arrive. Declaring peace between the planets, they offer Sarah Jane a gift – one that might change the future of the human race forever.


The Gift Part Two


When the Blathereens' gift runs riot, Sarah Jane faces the battle of her life to save her son, Luke, as The Sarah Jane Adventures concludes. With Clyde, Rani and K9 trapped in a school under siege, and the whole of London convulsing under the alien threat, everything heads for a final showdown in the attic – and not everyone is getting out alive.

The first part of the Gift is due to be broadcast on the 12th of November 2009 on BBC One at 4:35pm.  As usual part two will be broadcast the following day at the same time.

Record Al Score for SJA




The Wedding of Sarah Jane Smith that saw an appearance by the Doctor, received an AI score of 87 for Part One on Thursday and 89 for Part Two on Friday. Both episodes received the highest AI scores on any of the main four channels (BBC 1, BBC2, ITV & CHANNEL 4) for the two days.

These scores are the highest received for the Sarah Jane Adventures series which also received the highest viewing figures on BBC One for this timeslot for this year.

The Writers' Guild of Great Britain Nomination




Doctor Who has been nominated for a Writers' Guild of Great Britain. The show has been nominated in the television drama category where it will face competition from fellow BBC shows Little Dorrit and Being Human.

The winners will be announced on November the 29th at the Free Word Centre in London.
