Dreamland Launched


Dreamland the new Doctor Who animated adventure written by Phil Ford, was yesterday released and it is now available to view in high definition on BBC One's red button service and here on the BBC's official Doctor Who website. Part Two was released today at 4pm and the third will be released tomorrow at the same time. There are six parts of Dreamland in total and after they have been released individulally they will all be shown together in one transmission on BBC Two on the fifth of December at 10am.

The synopsis's for both Part One and Two can be read below.

Part One
Dry Springs, Nevada, 1958. The Doctor befriends a young waitress, Cassie, and her friend, Jimmy, at a diner. The Doctor activates an alien artefact and, after finding further signs of alien activity, the US Army intervenes and takes him and his new companions to the mysterious Area 51, where they find out about Operation Fallen Angel. Will Operation leader Colonel Stark succeed in making the curious trio forget what they have just seen?


Part Two
Seeking refuge in the abandoned town of Solitude, Jimmy Stalkingwolf stumbles across a disconcerting discovery and encounters Viperox royalty alongside The Doctor and Cassie Rice.
 
I have watched both parts and have so far have throughly enjoyed the storyline.

Classic Doctor Who on MSN Video

That's right, soon all the episodes of Classic Doctor Who will be able to be watched on MSN Videon. There will be a new episode every Tuesday and Friday on the player from the 10th of November.

This has happened due to an agreement between MSN and BBC Worldwide.

The Gift Synopsis Revealed


The Gift, the sixth and final episodes of the Third Series of Sarah Jane Adventures, has now has their synopsis's released by the BBC. You can read them below,

The Gift Part One



Sarah Jane, Luke, Clyde and Rani face an old enemy, the green Slitheen, in the penultimate episode of this series of The Sarah Jane Adventures. When the Slitheen's latest scheme is halted, their rivals, the Blathereen, arrive. Declaring peace between the planets, they offer Sarah Jane a gift – one that might change the future of the human race forever.


The Gift Part Two


When the Blathereens' gift runs riot, Sarah Jane faces the battle of her life to save her son, Luke, as The Sarah Jane Adventures concludes. With Clyde, Rani and K9 trapped in a school under siege, and the whole of London convulsing under the alien threat, everything heads for a final showdown in the attic – and not everyone is getting out alive.

The first part of the Gift is due to be broadcast on the 12th of November 2009 on BBC One at 4:35pm.  As usual part two will be broadcast the following day at the same time.

Record Al Score for SJA




The Wedding of Sarah Jane Smith that saw an appearance by the Doctor, received an AI score of 87 for Part One on Thursday and 89 for Part Two on Friday. Both episodes received the highest AI scores on any of the main four channels (BBC 1, BBC2, ITV & CHANNEL 4) for the two days.

These scores are the highest received for the Sarah Jane Adventures series which also received the highest viewing figures on BBC One for this timeslot for this year.

The Writers' Guild of Great Britain Nomination




Doctor Who has been nominated for a Writers' Guild of Great Britain. The show has been nominated in the television drama category where it will face competition from fellow BBC shows Little Dorrit and Being Human.

The winners will be announced on November the 29th at the Free Word Centre in London.

Farewell hard says Tennant

David Tennant has admitted that hanging up his coat for the final time in Doctor Who was a difficult and emotional time. He was speaking at the London launch of the Second of this years specials "Waters of Mars". He also said that he was jealous of Matt Smith who is taking over the Tardis. The Waters of Mars is to be broadcast on BBC1 on Sunday 15 November at 7pm.

Smith praised as Best

Matt Smith (the elventh Doctor) has been praised as the best Doctor ever according to Steven Moffat who is taking over the reigns from Russell T Davies at the end of this year. Steven who is planning to write six of the episodes in Series 5 and will be expressing his opinions and overseeing another seven, has promised fans a breathtaking, new-era of Doctor Who.

Tennant says "New Doctor Who, Scariest Ever!"

David Tennant says that the next Doctor Who Special "Waters of Mars" which should hit our screens soon, could be the scariest ever. Freaky slave aliens The Ood have also been rumoured to return. Apparently the will warn the tenth Doctor (David Tennant) that his "song is about to end," in an episode full of action and mystery.

Death of John Joyce

The Mad Woman in the Attic



The Mad Woman in the Attic's Part 1 and 2 both received an appreciation index figure of 86. This was the highest on BBC One for Thursday and Friday. It was also the highest Sarah Jane Adventures has ever had.

Mona Lisa's Revenge Synopsis


The BBC have recently released the synopsis for both parts of the fifth episode of the third series of Sarah Jane Adventures, Mona Lisa's Revenge. They can both be read below,

Mona Lisa’s Revenge Part One

Strange forces bring the Mona Lisa to life, as the adventure series starring Elisabeth Sladen continues. Clyde's proudest day turns into a nightmare when he discovers that fine art can be dangerous and, when a school trip descends into disaster, the gang find themselves trapped without Sarah Jane's help, as the awesome abomination stirs.

Mona Lisa’s Revenge Part Two



Luke and Rani investigate the myth of the dreaded abomination, as this story concludes. With Sarah Jane trapped and beyond help, everything now depends upon Clyde. Mona Lisa vows to release her terrifying brother from his age-old prison, but only Clyde has the key.

The first part of Mona Lisa's revenge are scheduled to be shown throughout the United Kingdom and Ireland on BBC One on Thursday on the twelfth of November at 4:35pm. Part 2 will follow on Friday the 13th of November at 4:35pm on BBC One.

BBC Books have recently released some information about their upcoming Sarah Jane Adventures quiz book and the cover for the publication has now been revealed. The book will feature over two hundred and fifty questions from the first two series of the hit spin off from Doctor Who. This book will be perfect for testing your own and other people's knowledge about the programme.


This book will be released on the fifth of November and has an RRP of £4.99

2009 Specials DVD Confirmed

The Tenth Doctor’s final adventures of his reign as the popular timelord The Waters of Mars and the two Christmas Specials apparently will be released on a DVD boxset on the Eleventh of January by 2entertain according to various online retail sites. This DVD boxset should contain The Next Doctor, Planet of the Dead, Waters of Mars, TBA and The End of Time.
Early estimates say the RRP maybe be £39.99.

Blackpool Exhibition To Close

The Doctor Who Museum in Blackpool famously known for it's large collection of classic costumes and memborilia is to close. On the 8th of November the Blackpool Museum will close it's doors for the last time. All of the props and costumes will be distrupted between all of the other exhibitions.

Doctor Who Adventures Issue 138



The 138th issue of the Doctor Who Adventures was released yesterday at the usual price of £2.99. This week's issue is a massive Halloween edition. It takes a look at frightening scenes to come in the next Doctor Who special, Waters of Mars, hopefully to be seen on BBC One around November and comes with a free gift in the form of a Weeping Angel monster mask and claws.
